AGI Iceland 2026

Brand Identity

Alliance Graphique Internationale (AGI) is an international association of more than 500 of the world’s leading graphic designers and creative practitioners. Each year, its members gather in a different city for the AGI Congress, accompanied by AGI Open, a public-facing design conference bringing the wider creative community into conversation with AGI members through talks, workshops, and discussions.

For the first time ever, AGI Open is being held in Iceland, the 2026 identity was designed as a playful visual system rooted in Reykjavík and the character of the Icelandic landscape. Bold typography is paired with an evolving collection of imagery, graphic elements, and unexpected compositions that move between the natural and the distinctly Icelandic. Rather than relying on a single fixed expression, the identity continually shifts across posters, digital communications, social media, merchandise, environmental graphics, and the event programme, creating a flexible framework capable of representing both the individuality of more than 40 participating designers and the collective energy of AGI gathering in Iceland.

Co-designed during my employment at karlssonwilker, New York, under the direction of Jan Wilker and Hjalti Karlsson.
